Some members of our community require unique consideration when it comes to disaster planning. This can include individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, are totally or legally blind, have cognitive, developmental or physical disabilities, or have other medical concerns. This can also include individuals with limited English proficiency. If you or a member of your household has a special consideration and you would like more information on how to factor this into your disaster planning, please complete the form below. Someone from our office will be in touch with you to discuss emergency preparedness, including such topics as preparing for an emergency evacuation, sheltering-in-place, and assembling a disaster supply kit. The state of Kansas is also collecting information on vulnerable populations to help with their emergency planning.
